Ethiopian Premier League’s (EPL) newest club Mekele City FC (M City) announced the inclusion of three new foreign players to its squad on Wednesday. The three players joining Mekele include two Ghanaians and one from Equatorial Guinea.

Trade and Development Bank (TDB) of Eastern and Southern Africa has confirmed that it has disbursed an amount close to USD 60 million for companies that have submitted projects on hotel development, steel manufacturing and the like in addition to financing for the Ethiopian Airlines Group, the fastest growing airline in the continent.

The Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA) issued a 10-day deadline on Monday for importers, who have unclaimed cargoes at the three dry port facilities, to settle all outstanding fees with the authority and claim their properties. Confiscating unclaimed goods and suing importers are just two options being considered by the authority.
Despite a number of social media campaigns over the recent announcement by the Ethiopian government to hold a 10-day celebration and speculation over monetary outlays that it would potentially entail, Negeri Lencho, head of government communications affairs office, told The Reporter today that neither his office nor any other government agency would spend any money to celebrate the events.
