Ethiopian Premier League’s (EPL) newest club Mekele City FC (M City) announced the inclusion of three new foreign players to its squad on Wednesday. The three players joining Mekele include two Ghanaians and one from Equatorial Guinea.
It has been eleven years since Ethiopia started to celebrate Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day. The colorful event, which is annually held on December 9, has moved across regions. This year, the Harari Regional State hosted the annual event. Drawing numerous people from all parts of the country, the day encourages participants to share their cultural values with others. For this year’s celebration, representatives of all nations and nationalities from across Ethiopia, residents and invited guests gathered at the new Awabadir Stadium in Harar town. In addition, representatives of various countries, including President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia attended the event.
