As Ethiopia embarks on a mission to help improve its healthcare and help improve the status of its citizens and help build the country’s dwindling safety net, there are now dotted improvement in healthcare within the capital, Addis Ababa.

Tegene Alemu, in his early sixties, has been growing cotton for the past 17 years along the Awash River basin located in the Amibara woreda of the Afar Regional State, some 280km north east of Addis Ababa. He is one of the cotton producers working on large-scale farms.
