Ethiopian Premier League’s (EPL) newest club Mekele City FC (M City) announced the inclusion of three new foreign players to its squad on Wednesday. The three players joining Mekele include two Ghanaians and one from Equatorial Guinea.
Ethiopian Coffee fullback Ahmed Rashid this week completed his move to Dire Dawa City. Ahmed Rashid agreed to sign up for Dire Dawa City for a reported club record signing fee of 1.2 million birr.
The National Athletics Team of Ethiopia finished first at the 13th African Junior (U20) Championship held in Tlemcen, Algeria. Ethiopia topped the Championship medal table with a total of 38 medals collecting 13 gold, 13 silver and 12 bronze medals from the competition.

Electric, Woliata Dicha, Jimma Aba Bunna, Dire Dawa City, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Arba Minch City have not yet secured their place for next season’s EPL campaign. A win for the teams is the best option to avoid relegation.
