Merkel amid the Unrest

Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel paid an official visit to Ethiopia in October, 2017 as part of her a three-nation tour in Africa which had taken her to Mali and Niger before arriving in Addis Ababa. 

Tana Forum, the high-level forum on security in Africa, announced Tuesday change of venue of its high-level conference for next year from Bahir Dar to Hawassa, where it will hold the 7th edition April 21 to 22, 2018 under the theme, “Ownership of Africa’s Peace and Security Provision: Financing and Reforming the African Union.
